Universal Credit form help
Universal Credit is claimed online and the questions are hard to follow when English isn't your first language. We translate the questions, prepare your answers, and help with the UC50 form if you get one.
Universal Credit is a monthly payment to help with living costs. You claim online through your own account — you create the account and complete the claim within 28 days.
The claim asks about your housing, earnings, savings, benefits, and any health condition that affects your work. If you're assessed for work capability, you'll get a UC50 form which asks in detail about your condition.
What the UC claim involves
- You apply online at universal-credit.service.gov.uk after a postcode check. You'll need bank details, an email address, and a phone.
- You must prove your identity — for example with a driving licence, passport, debit or credit card, or payslip.
- If you live with your partner, you both create accounts and link them together.
- The UC50 form ('How your disability affects you') is sent when your work capability is assessed. It asks detailed questions about your health condition and daily life.

How a Universal Credit claim works
- Check and create your account: Check your postcode at universal-credit.service.gov.uk, then create your account. You must complete the claim within 28 days or start again.
- Prove your identity: You verify your identity online with documents like a passport, driving licence, debit card or payslip. We don't do this for you — it's your account.
- We translate the questions: We go through every question with you in Urdu, Punjabi, Polish, Romanian or English, and prepare your answers: housing, earnings, savings, benefits, health.
- You enter the answers: You type or paste the prepared answers into your own account — we never log in for you. We can sit with you on a call while you do it.
- UC50 form (if you get one): If DWP sends a UC50 form, we complete it with you the same way — translated questions, your answers, official form filled in.

- Bank account details and an email address
- Information about your housing, earnings, savings and any benefits you get
- A photo of the UC50 form if you've received one
